Leviathan is a multidisciplinary engineering consultancy service with particular strengths in fire safety compliance, expert witness reports, auditing of facilities management, Construction and PFI contract compliance auditing.  Our teams have many years  of widespread experience. Our team have previously worked in Fire Safety, MEP design, Building Control, construction and facilities management. The teams experience enables us to effectively advise on Fire Safety, input into the management of large scale construction and operational contracts, resulting in compliant contracts which may provide cost and time savings for all our clients.

We have a strong reputation for in depth analytical assessments which has enabled us to identify previously undetected significant fire safety compliance defects, PFI operational delivery issues that include construction and maintenance defects.

Our input has substantially reduced both the financial and technical risks to our clients.  Our early intervention often minimises the need for dispute resolution or litigation, but in the event that this is necessary we provide professional and confidential advice to ensure the best outcomes.

With the growing awareness of the need for compliant fire safety measures our fire consultancy services have evolved and expanded to provide our clients with a full scope of fire safety advice.  We are able to provide an extensive technical advisory service on passive and active fire protection and the maintenance of these systems, support and advice on fire service enforcement and an FDIS certified fire door inspection service with a bespoke turnkey solution for the direct supply and management of remedial works.

We have Chartered Engineers and Fire Engineers with each having over 25 years of industry experience. We provide Authorising Engineer (Fire) services to a nationwide large portfolio of NHS Trusts, MOD contractors and local authority schools.

We can provide external wall inspections, EWS1 forms and are registered on the Building Safety Portal.

Leviathan have been instructed as expert witnesses on many Fire legal cases and work with several of the large insurance companies. The team has extensive experience of identifying cladding non-compliances across a range of sites for public sector and FM clients.  Team members have been identifying external wall deficiencies almost ten years prior to Grenfell. This affords us a unique position as a leading authority on façade compliance and the need for interlinked and interchangeable building fire management systems.

Our extensive expert witness instructions have resulted in many successful outcomes for clients based on our reports and advice.
